CENTEC Global

Centre for Emergency Care & Global Health

Transforming emergency healthcare through innovative technologies.

Global partnership. Digital innovation. Research.

Excellence in emergency care, leadership and innovation

CENTEC Global draws on the strengths of the Departments of Emergency Medicine at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) and its international networks.

Guided by the values of The Leeds Way, we bring together clinicians, researchers, academics and technology partners. Our aim is to improve emergency care for the people of Leeds and, through our international partnerships, for patients worldwide.

What we do

Global Health. Innovation. Research.

Each area supports the others. Ideas tested in Leeds lead to research, and research informs the training we share with partners abroad.

Our learning platform

ENLIGHTENme

Why it matters

Similar numbers of consultants. 26 times the population.

South Asia’s 1.8 billion people share roughly the same emergency consultant workforce as the UK’s 69 million. In recognition of the many NHS colleagues who began their careers there, cHALO exists as a philanthropic bridge. Through formal institutional partnerships, we co-develop tailored, blended learning initiatives engineered specifically for the demands of low-resource environments—investing knowledge and systems directly back into local frontline care.
